Judge a Book by its Cover 20 – #TuesdayBookBlog

This is one of the most colourful and vibrant book covers I’ve ever seen. Hard to pass it! I love it. The fact that I can’t tell the genre just by the cover doesn’t matter because I’m intrigued enough to take a closer look. Judging by the title, I’m sure there’s some kind of magic at play. What kind of magic?

Art of Magic by KJ is a story where a touch of love and a slice of life creates a whole lot of magic.

Cath Monroe loves her teaching job, her friends, her family, and her colleagues. They fill her life and her heart. She knows that it’s important to share love with actions and words, but that last one? About the words? That’s a problem. Because when it comes to saying ‘I love you’ to her forever person, Cath discovers that she doesn’t really know anything about love at all.

Then, Rica Diamandis strolls into her life. Rica is all stardust and sexy, and Cath is intrigued. The sudden availability of a romantic blank canvas takes Cath’s breath away. But when her father is taken to hospital with a life-threatening disease, Cath boxes up the romance with Rica, and packs it into the back of her heart. Fortunately, the Universe has other ideas and Cath begins to realise that embracing emotional chaos is actually the art that creates the magic.

Art of Magic has tons of fantastic reviews on Amazon and Goodreads.

Magic is real

This book should come with a warning……. only enter here if armed with tissues, a steady heart and a willingness to be blown away by magic 😊
Both main characters are lovely and it was a very enjoyable read.
Rica is a seriously hot woman with a truly amazing and surprising talent.
And Cath, Oh Cath……. Funny, sexy, gorgeous and her emotional realisations – so believable and endearing.
She made me cry so many times throughout the book, both sad and happy tears.
“It’s saying that I love you. I’m in love with you, and I think I may have been before I even met you.”

For the romantics – you’re going to love this book.
For the non-romantics/romance isn’t real – this book will make you believe and aspire (trust me).

Linda on Goodreads ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Wonderful read with plenty of feelings. Witty dialogues and banters which was a joy to read (and some which stayed with me)…. Cath came across as a really confident person who has no qualms with her sexuality and her sexual appetite. Cath + Rica = Magical; throw in good supportive secondary characters, makes Art of Magic, a wonderful, feel good read.

4.5 ⭐️ for the story and the Colourful cover had me round up the ratings to 5

Mari Stark from Goodreads ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.5 stars

Another great hit by KJ, this is a wonderful and engaging page-turner story about creating your own kind of magic through love. This book comes from the world of ‘Coming Home’, but does stand alone

What was the book about?
Cath Monroe, an English teacher, who loves her job, her family and friends. But what about that one love that curls your toes and makes your heart misses a beat? She just can’t give herself to someone that way, that kind of love she just can’t let get in. When the new art teacher of the school Rica Diamandis storms into her life, all smart, sexy and a mystery. To say she’s intrigued is an understatement; she just can’t help but wonder if everything she believed about her forever person was right. Will she embrace her new feelings and give love a chance or will she stay away?
