In Love With Italian Doors – #ThursdayDoors

More from my collection of Italian doors. I wish I had organised them better in my phone gallery. Albums; Italy Doors, WhatsApp Italy Doors, Nikon Italy Doors, Italy 2024. And why am I finding London Doors pics in my Italy Doors album?

However, I’ve just created a new system that (I hope) will make things a little easier.

It’s only now when I see these together, that I realise the surroundings are all quite similar.

Thursday Doors is a weekly challenge for people who love doors and architecture to come together to admire and share their favourite door photos, drawings, or other images or stories from around the world. The Last Gothic Cathedral – #ThursdayDoors

I had been looking forward to many things about our holiday in Italy and one of them was collecting some doors pictures. I was not disappointed!

I was in awe at the amount of churches and cathedrals and little chapels in Como. The cathedral in the photos below is one of the most important buildings in the region of Como, Lombardy, Italy. It is the seat of the Bishop of Como and it is dedicated to the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

In my Next Life

If you won two free plane tickets, where would you go?

If reincarnation is real, I’d like to be born in Italy, please!🙏

The first time I went to Italy was seventeen years ago. We went to a friend’s wedding in Lake Garda and it was the most beautiful place I’d ever been to.

We went on a day trip to Venice and lo and behold, Stephen proposed to me! He went down on one knee in the gondola and presented me with a beautiful ring!

I loved Italy so much and we always wanted to return.

And here we are as I write this; in Lake Como having a wonderful holiday with our 13-year-old daughter Lucy and Bella, my 13-year-old granddaughter.

Bella comes everywhere with us because she and Lucy are very close!

So, if I won two free plane tickets to anywhere in the world, it would be Italy. I’d like to go to Rome and Naples.
