I’ve a very striking book cover on show today. THE CORSAIRS by Brian Cook

At first glance this book cover had my attention. I love it! Red always stands out for me, but it’s more than the colour I’m attracted to. It’s the style of that building. It’s a busy building with a lot going on in there.

A black cover conveys a message of darkness. Badness and power are two of the first things that come to my mind. The flash of red signifies danger.

The book cover is the first thing to grab my attention, secondly the title, and then I’ll read the blurb.

Here’s the three book covers that caught my eye this week. I like to guess what the book genre is just by looking at the cover and reading the title. I’m usually not far wrong.
