Sometimes I get ruffled because I don’t send out newsletters as often as I think I should. Then I remember that I don’t like my inbox being bombarded with too many emails from the same sender. I’m more inclined to open and read from the ones I don’t see too often.

A reader messaged me today and said, ‘What’s seldom is wonderful!’ MADE MY DAY!

Izzy

I looked around the room in awe of how enchanting it was. Oil lanterns glowed softly on the windowsills. Gold-framed mirrors hung on every wall, alongside portraits of women who resembled Hazel; all with the same long hair of the same colour and the vibrant green eyes. Bunches of herbs and dried flowers, and copper pots and pans hung from wooden ceiling beams. Candlesticks in bronze candelabras waited to be lit as Hazel walked around lighting each one from the flame of a long black wick.
